• External Electronic components are housed in a weather-resistant shelter.
• Console may be powered using the included UK power adapter or with three C batteries (not included).
• Wireless range is up to 1,000 ft (300 m) outdoors, line of sight. Typical range through walls under most conditions is 200 to 400 ft (60 to 120 m).

The Integrated Sensor Suite (ISS) collects outside weather data and sends the data to a Vantage Pro2 console or Weather Envoy. Wireless and cabled versions of the ISS are available - the Wireless ISS is solar powered and sends data to the console via a low-power radio.

The ISS Plus contains:

his tipping bucket rain gauge has a magnetic reed switch that closes momentarily each time the gauge measures 0.011" (0.2794 mm) of rain.

The 9 foot (3 meter) cable terminates in an RJ11 modular plug, and can easily be extended using a common telephone extension cable.

The gauge can be easily connected to an Arduino, Rapberry Pi, or any microcontroller. Commonly a pull-up resistor (4.7k ohms is typical) will be used to pull the input pin high, and the other side of the gauge's switch will be connected to ground, pulling the pin low each time the switch closes.

Wireless consoles can also collect data from optional Vantage Pro2 sensors or a Davis Vantage Vue ISS, and can also retransmit data to other Vantage Pro2 or Vantage Vue consoles or a Weather Envoy.
